I have been caught in the maze of this World wide web for nearly 5 years now. Probably was in 2nd MBBS, when the buzz word was'CYBER CAFE' where they used to serve coffee while you were trying to find your way on a VIRTUAL highway, and that too, by paying a HEAVY price.
It was another revolution like the CABLE TV, which has separated people of my age and people probably just 10 years older to us, BY A GENERATION. Because.in-between.too much happened.too soon.
(I don’t mean to offend anybody's sentiments by saying this, just sharing a thought.)
Today, even kids' lingo is interspersed by influences from the WEB(as we have fondly come to call this!)
The INTERNET has probably managed to touch everyone’s life in some way or the other! Parents in their 60s eagerly logging on to the net to check if their beloved son abroad has sent them a mail, Students logging on to their University website with bated breath-to check their results, Holidayers booking their hotels online, People sharing their joys and sorrows at WEB BASED GROUPS, Teenager hunting for a prospective GF online, Home-maker logging onto sanjeevkapoor.com-to churn our her hubby's favorite dishes to get her shopping done;-), and we at our beloved Mouthshut.com-keeping our Mouth Shut and our Minds OPEN, and fingers-hyperactive!

Just to pull a fast one- I said'MEGHALAYA'-this person happened to be pretty smart-He said'Name 2 main tribes from meghalaya and I will believe you-And guess what me did- searched it out from google in a jiffy and gave him the answer in seconds.Khasis, Jantias and Garos.
Result: Opposition was baffled
This is just a silly example, but google search makes life so much simpler, information always accessible, well organized, in short-makes u smarter!
