Mussoorie is and will be always special for me because Mussoorie is the very first hill station which I visit. One of the most popular tourist destination and hill station of India, situated in Uttrakhand State. Mussoorie is situated at an altitude of 6000 feet is connected with Air, Rail, and road. By Rail, nearest railway station is Dehradun, from Dehradun taxi, buses and cabs are available for Mussoorie. By Air, the nearest airport is Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport. and by road, Mussoorie is connected with all over India. Mussoorie is just 38 KM away from State capital Dehradun. Best time to visit Mussoorie is from April to June. In winter there is heavy snowfall and in August and September, it faces heavy rainfall, which is quite risky to visit during that time. I prefer to visit between April to July and October To December.

Kempty Falls: Kempty Falls is the most famous place in Mussoorie, it is 15 km away from Mussoorie, the fall surrounded by the high mountain is looked gorgeous. the milky white water falling from the rock is an unforgettable experience. At the bottom of the falls, there is an artificial lake, famous for water sports and take bath. There is also a ropeway for adventure.
Mossy Falls: This Fall is considered as one of the beautiful falls of Mussoorie. Situated 7 km from Mussoorie, It is famous for trekking down to the fall.
Lake Mist: One of the best places to go with children is Lake Mist. This lake is on the way to Kempty Falls, this lake is fed with Kempty River Water. You can enjoy boating with children in this lake.
Lal Tibba: It is famous for its scenic beauty. It attracts the tourist for its sunrise and sunset. there is also a huge market. from where you can complete your shopping.
Mussoorie Lake: it is popular for its sports activity and water boating. This lake is mainly crowded with teenager and honeymoon couple because it has plenty of food shop and gaming corner.
Other important places of Mussoorie are Bhatta Falls, Jaripani Falls, Everest House, Gun Hill, Camel back road etc.
Mussoorie has plenty of hotel for all type of tourist. From low budget to high budget, all type of hotels is available in Mussoorie. The hotels are very good and installed with all facilities. The rates of the hotel depending on the season. the staffs of the hotels are very gentle and helpful.
