Muscat is a beautiful place but this place is good to travel between October to March otherwise it is very hot you will not able to go out at all. Even for shopping in the evening it is not worth it. This place is best in January and February. You will just love it. I had been in Jan-Feb 1996. The next trip I was in 1999 in the month of April-May Oof very hot. I was in indoors most of the time I return to Bombay within 10 days.
The beaches are very clean and the water crystal clear. If you stand in the sea water you can easily see your feet clearly in the water.
The Forts are also excellent.
The Drive from the Airport to Ruwi is just beautiful with the road lined with good greenery and flowers pots.
Even the shopping Malls are beautiful, especially the SABCO
and the SULTAN CENTRE
