Murudeshwar temple is located in the state of karnataka. it is a shiva temple. the deity over there is a shiva linga. long distance travellers can use trains murudeshwar is the name of the railway too. just 15 minutes drive from the station is the temple, road route available.
The temple has a huge goupram about approx 16 floors. its is located at the sea shore. a very huge shiva statue is there behind the gopuram which can be seen from the railway line too. annadhanam & many other poojas can be performed. it is extremely beautiful temple. many other small small deities also present. RN Shetty guest houses are the recommended ones. many others guest houses are also available. prasadham can be taken from the temple.good variety of food stuff is made available to the visitors.
As the place is located on the sea shore many amusement activities are also made available. many antique work & coral products are also saled there. temple is good for 1 or 2 day trip. not advisable to visit the place in rainy season . good sceneic beauty.
