Bollywood is no more that kind of a film industry,in which husbands used to have extra marital affairs where as their ?patnis?(wives),used to cry alone,at home, with ?bindiya? on their forehead. In films like Jism,Leela,Humraaz and the recently released Tum? Or Hawas, the same subject has been used and this time again a film based on the same subject, has been made. The issue shown in all these films is of women having extra marital affairs, and the latest addition to this list is ?Murder?.

This film is the most talked about one, these days, because of its trailors showing steamy scenes of the sexy ?Khwahish? babe,Mallika Sherawat, with two actors and the other shocking news of this film is that Mallika was to do a nude scene in the film, but she refused to do it at the last moment, saying that even she has some morals.News,controversies,etc. all that has been finished and now the film is out!

THE FILM:

Mahesh Bhatt`s ?Murder?,directed by Anurag Basu, stars Ashmit Patel,Emraan Hashmi,Mallika Sherawat,Raj Zutshi and Kashmirah Shah. The Bhatts have been in the news for making many sexy and daring movies such as ?Jism? or ?Paap? and this time the combination of the Bhatts with Mallika Sherawat is surely, going to create magic. The title of this film is different, the songs are good and the trailors are enough to grow curiosity amongst the viewers.

THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:

1.Simran(Mallika Sherawat):Simran,is the main character of this film, around whom the story revolves. She is the main attraction between two men,and this attraction turns into a fatal attraction, which leads to a MURDER.Mallika Sherawat,is a bold actress with modern thinking, but she is not just a statue, which remains uncovered. There is something more to her and that is-talent.I said the same thing about her in ?Khwahish?,review as well, who made the film tolerable through her excellent performance. This time too she is very confident and natural to the core. She doesn`t get too melodramatic nor does she overacts much but the histrionics she displays in the scene where she says ?if my husband is busy so that means I start sleeping around??,are amazing. Now,coming to her steamy scenes, she has done many daring scenes in this film, but then, what could we expect from an actress who has already done 17 smooches on the big screen?

2.Sudhir(Ashmit Patel):Sudhir,is a very hard-working person who wants to gain success in his business, and this is the reason why he can`t give much time to his wife, who is meeting someone else, when he`s not there.Ashmit Patel has changed my view about himself. After watching ?Inteha?,I believed that he can never be a good actor because of his choice for such a film and then for his wooden and expressionless face, which won`t help him in showing emotions in his films, but I was wrong. In this film,he is in a complete form, and looks confident than in his previous film.He performs really well, and makes his presence feel besides Mallika and Emraan,on whom the film focuses more and more. His role doesn`t demand much histrionics, but he still impresses and makes the character of Sudhir look realistic!

3.Sunny(Emraan Hashmi):Sunny,is the one who brings a new life into Simran`s boring and dull life.He accompanies Simran in her loneliness and in her ?bed?.Emraan Hashmi, was excellent in ?Footpath? and this time too,as an obsessed guy,he does a wonderful job, unlike John Abraham in ?Aetbaar?,who was making scray face expressions and acting wild.Emraan Hashmi looks comfortable in this role and his outbursts in several scenes are clapworthy like the one when he gets tired of Mallika always discussing her family or where he meets Ashmit for the first time, face to face.

Raj Zutshi is good as a cop and Kashmirah Shah, comes in a special appearance in the song-?Dil Ko Hazaar Baar?.The child artiste, who plays Kabir,is thank god not irritating,as children usually are,but then Bollywood is becoming of age and can very well understand that viewers are intelligent and cannot tolerate irritating children.

THE STORY:

This is a story of a small Indian family, set in Bangkok. This family consists of Sudhir,Simran and their son.Simran believes that she is very lonely in life as her husband is never with her,to fulfill her passions and desires, but is always at work, being a businessman. If not her husband, then there is obviously someone to give her ?that? kind of love she needs. That person is Sunny, who (re)enters in Simran`s life, when he accidentally meets her.He used to be Simran`s friend, once and they both loved each other.Simran is now married but for what? Her husband is never at home, and she is still as lonely as an unmarried girl,so one moment takes place, which brings her on bed with Sunny, and after that there is no such thing as SHAME,which exists between them.Simran`s husband starts getting doubtful about her and one day his doubt turns into a belief. Then, many events take place.Events as terrible as a MURDER.

THE WORK OF THE CREW:

Director,Anurag Basu does a good job and succeeds to enhance the viewers` interest in dramatic scenes, such as the one where Sudhir and Sunny have a confrontation or the ones where the viewers begin to realize that Simran is feeling guilty, but the one which succeeds to excite the viewers is where the murder takes place but as in many films,in this film too,the climax seems hurried, without coming to any useful conclusion.

Screenplay is not so captivating,in the first half, because there are no events going on in the first half, and the main events take place post-interval.That`s when the screenplay grips the viewers` attention.

Editing is not so well done, because many love making or other scenes are unnecessarily stretched but everything gets alright, once the story takes a twist.

Background Music is amazing and the cinematography is of top class, which captures the beauty of Bangkok on the celluloid beautifully!Anu Malik`s music is another highlight of the film.?Kaho Naa Kaho?,has already become a big hit, which is very different from the songs,we usually hear, with an Arabic tune and https://lyrics.?Bheegey Hont?,is a song which may bring all you hidden fantasies out.It is based on how one feels, while sleeping with a partner in night and is picturised very sensuously.
