I have lived in Bombay for 13 years. I spent my growing up years here and now I am going back to Ahmedabad, the place where I came from with buckets full of tears pouring outta my eyes.

This place has such a unyielding charm that gets you hooked here and that's why you will find people from ALL the possible places pining to settle in Bombay aka Mumbai. Read what's so special about ''Aamchi Mumbai'' (Our Mumbai in Marathi language)

The weather now

Its raining. Yea, its monsoon time and you will get to experience typical unpredictable raining in Mumbai. Now its hot and dry and within next few minutes it could get clouded and starts pouring cats and dogs. The roads get flooded with water and transport is hindered. The rail tracks too get flooded leading to major block in commuting through local trains.

Rain is a big pain in Mumbai if you are not enjoying it at a sea side with a hot Bhutta /Corn in hand with your sweet heart, or enjoying the waves splashing at Marine Lines or Nariman Point.

If you visit Mumbai during monsoons make sure you have a car or any other vehicle for commuting. and book a room in a hotel or stay in a place where water doesn't get logged.

Night Life

Coming to the brighter side of the city, the night life is something which is incomparable to any other place in India. You will find n number of Pubs and other hang outs that will fill your interests. Most popular ones are Razzberry Rhinoceros, J49, Fire n Ice, CopaCabana et al.

This city doesn't sleep in the night. ( I guess that's why You find people sleeping during their office hours :)))

Travelling/ Commuting

The local trains bind the city and is most popular mode of commuting. Cabs, rickshaws etc also are found everywhere. Commuting is a no problem as such except if its raining.

The local buses can also be used as they are pretty cheap.

Places to See

I wont give you the list of places which you will find from the sight seeing directory. But to get the ''REAL'' feel of the place, you definitely need to check out these-

Andheri Lokhandwalas-This is a shopping paradise. Along with, you will find all possible eateries and hang outs. ''Strike 10'' a cool bowling joint is also nearby. This place is flooded with wannabe actors and models. Everyone who walks on the roads thinks he/she has already made it BIG in the industry.

With friends, we usually enjoy poking fun at these charaded people.

Bandra West Wow! This is a place to be in. The heart of Mumbai. Enjoy the drive on Carter Road, or the waves at BandStand, Shop till you drop at Linking Road and infact any place in Bandra is a sight seeing place with beautiful bungalows and beautiful people around.

Crawford Market This place will give you a major shopping experience. You will literally everything out there. Pretty swarmy, so you'll have to find our own place to walk.

Fashion Street Get the silver screen idolized fashionable goods on the roadside with equally low prices here.

IIT Powai I put this in my list of places to see, coz its really a place to see. No educational institute matches the charm of IIT. The campus is amazing. Check it out for yourself.

Trekking Its monsoon time and right time for trek in and around Mumbai. Try out places beyond Vashi and you will enjoy heavenly beauty of nature.

I can write a volume on Mumbai and places to see. But these are few of my favorite picks, which I typed down. There is much more to Mumbai. Infact you can spend whole of your life in exploring it and still not get enough of it.
