As this place is known as the financial capital of India & there are a lot of other things that attract tourists from all over the world. There is 1 more thing that has been ignored about this “sweetheart “of mine is the people here in this city.
We have people from all over the country coming here to experiment or try their luck in this city. Many have made good from here & some have not been able to do that, but this place has enough for helping anybody & everybody to survive. Now talking about the people of this city, I really SALUTE the people living in this city coz there have been times when the world has just assumed that MUMBAI is finished & there will be no further existence of this name on the world map. May be financially or even otherwise.
I remember when there was a series of BOMB blasts in the city, where the BSE was hit, Air India building was hit & many other place were under the threat of being blown off. There was news that there will be no movement in Mumbai for at least a couple of months. There were people who needed blood coz they were injured in the blasts & the govt had announced that there is a shortage of blood in the hospitals for the patients. There was a banner or a AD board on almost every main junction in the city, that there is a shortage of blood in all the hospitals, believe me the very next morning the banners were changed that we have received enough donors of blood & now we request you not to rush to the hospitals. The localities from those respective areas where there were blasts were out of their homes, not to safe themselves, but try & help the others out of the danger places. They were providing them with eatables, water & the other necessary things. There were women who gave their own clothes to the other women who were there stuck away from their places.
This is one of the cases that is still fresh in my mind coz I was one of them who was helped by some of the people.
Rest about the latest things that have happened on 26th, 27th & 28th July 2005.
In this city there are people from all the religion or castes, so we enjoy all the festivals together. Festivals like Ganpati Bappa Morya, ID, Diwali, Navratri, Durga Pooja & so on the list is end less.
If I have to tell you 2 best things about this Sweetheart of mine, it will be:-
This is a city of most loving & caring people
This is a place that has given our country a re-cognation business world.
HATS OFF to all the MUMBAIKAR’s (that’s what we call ourselves).
Pros: - If you have it in you, you can make a FORTUNE here.
Cons:- The internal fights by the political parties.(Which is common in the entire country)
