The Muktidham Temple is one of the most visited sites by Hindu worshippers and tourists in Haldia. Established in 1999 by Vivekananda Mission Ashram at Sutahata, Haldia the temple houses the shrine of Goddess Kali and also idols of lord Hanuman and Radha- Krishna. The temple is made of white carved marble and is very beautiful to look at.
There are also rare photos of Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Saradamoni and Swami Vivekananda inside the temple. The ambience of the temple is very serene and blissful. The temple is kept very neat and clean. Devotees of Goddess Kali flock this temple throughout the year. Situated next to Goddess Kali's temple is Lord Shiva's Temple. Devotees who come to visit Muktidham Temple also visit the Shiva Temple and take Lord Shiva's blessings. One feels great peace of mind and communion with Gods and Goddesses in both the temples. So I would suggest that all in and outside Haldia should visit this Temple and offer their prayers.
