Buy your tickets, Get your popcorn and be seated, ready to be entertained. That is what this movie is all about.

David Dhawan - the name brings back memories of Blockbusters such as Judwaa, Coolie No1, Aankheen and many others. His recent movies have failed to match the standards that he had set in his earlier ventures but he has once again come up trumps.

Sameer (Salman Khan) has a problem controlling his temper which is why he decides to leave his home and moves to Goa where he meets and falls head over heels for the stunning Rani (Priyanka Chopra). However he is unaware of the intrusion that Sunny (Akshay Kumar) is going to make in his life.

This is where the Battle for Rani begins. Sameer attempts to woo Rani in numerous ways but as luck shall have it, it is Sunny that seems to benefit from it all.

Rani is unsure of who she loves as she seems to like both but it is her heart that she will follow.

The climax of the movie – where Sameer expresses his love for Rani on a cricket pitch is outstanding and is totally different. The special appearances of the cricketers and Navjot Singh Sidhu’s commentary are exceptional.

Rani kiss se Shaadi Karte hai Cinema jaa ke dekho (Who does Rani marry, you will have to see for yourself)

Review

The film is typical David Dhawan. If you are looking for a movie with a strong script that is based on real issues then this is not the movie for you. However if what you are looking for is escapist cinema, where all you want is to sit and be entertained, then look no further, this movie does just that.

The cinematography and direction are exceptional.

The games of upmanship have been well portrayed and there are times in the movie when your heart goes out to Salman Khan as nothing he seems to do works for him.

The interaction between Salman and Akshay are a real highpoint of the movie and it is the on screen chemistry and camaraderie that is created which makes this movie such a success.

Salman enacts his role with passion and he is a joy to watch in screen. He most definitely is the star of the entire venture.

Akshay has shown in the past (Mr and Mrs Khiladi and Khakee) that he is good at comedy. This time around he surpasses his previous work and highlights his excellent timing and expressions.

This type of move requires dialogue which fits the mood, and Rumi Jaffery has provided good one liners which bring laughter in the halls. The action scenes by Mahendra Verma are top rate.

The music fits in with the mood of the movie and the choreography (Farah Khan) deserves a special mention.

As a whole the movie is a total entertainer and one that will keep the masses happy
