Yet another sugary sweet love story with enough portions
of melodrama and the regular rona dhona (which are an integral
part of our lives as Indians) is probably the best way to describe
Mujhse Dosti Karoge!
So the director of the film was mighty influenced by the producer's
style of film-making. (Can we blame him for that!)
So Kareena Kapoor's acting seemed like a carry on from her previous
film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. (Who expected more!)
So Hrithik was his best at the emotional scenes and Rani stole the
show.
It is always easy to criticise something just because you have the
easiest part to do. Criticise.
Given the fact that this is Kunal Kohli's first film, he did
a fair job.
The story which is a love triangle is told in a very interesting
way.
The highlights of the film are of course the emotional scenes
between the lead actors Hrithik and Rani.
They are actors par excellence and fit apt for the roles they play.
Minus the songs (all of them except Jaane kabse dil mein ho tum ...)
the film is definitely worth a watch.
And what was with the entire cast of the film singing old and some
new hindi film songs! Wasn't the film musical enough?
Like I already said even the songs of the film were stagnating the
story of the film.
Do our films really have to be so musical?
Probably then Kareena Kapoor wouldn't have much to do in the film,
would she?
All said and done, can't really rule out the film but can't call
it a memorable one either.
With the new breed of films breaking their way into the mainstream
commercial world of films, Mujhse Dosti ... is probably the last
of its kind .....
