Mudde for Lunch - excellent. Review on Mudde Madappa Mess, Majestic, Bangalore

This Thursday, we had been to Mudde Madappa Mess for lunch, as part of our MMP(Monthly Meal Program), we keep visiting new hotels every month. So this month we had this Mudde Madappa Mess near Anand Rao Circle, next to TCS building Gate. So there is nothing exhorbitantly stylish or classy physical looks about the hotel, its all with what it serves. Ragi Mudde(Ragi Balls) which is the most staple food with the Gowda Community in Karnataka, suffices a very heatlhy diet. And we order food, sorry no ordering here you buy the tokens at the counter for Rs.33/- each for lunch(which includes unlimited Mudde and Rice), tell me how economical is this. We were surprised by the quantity being served at this rate.

So, the menu includes, Ragi Mudde unlimited with Bass Saru and one Palya, next in course is Rice with the same sambar and rasam. Then comes buttermilk, served to your contentment without question, so how often do you see this genorosity in Bangalore unless you shed a heafty load off your wallet?

Another nice thing is, he give us the steel plates to have lunch, with a tumbler inside it. Immediately he pours hot water on to the glass. Confused, its not to drink but to clean the plate and glass, after this he carries a bucket, where you can pour the water. So this is a bit adventurous, than the usual north or south Indian hotels, where you either have Banyan Leaf or Clean shiny white plates. And Also on the table are tiny wooden pieces, kept specially for a cause, I was wondering what exactly is the role of these pieces, then taking a quick sneaky look on to the next table we found out that its for keeping it below the plate to have leverage for the sambar you are eating. Wow thats too adventurous.

In total, very healthy, Economical and great hospitality. I reckon, the hotel is a very old one, and we even saw Mr.Madappa, sitting in the cash counter, quess he is the person who started this hotel. Do visit and enjoy folks.
