Mtv..hmmm doesnt it stand for music television?well they have got clothes now.at first I didnt believe that mtv was coming out with clothing.all that went through my mind was that this was a music channel and not a house of design.anyway the next month there were advertisements splashed all over the advertisements boards in bangalore.but I wasnt interested.i thought that they would come out with really bad stuff.not until I got a pair of grey mtv long joes .it wasnt bad it looked really good too.thats when the clothes in my cupboard began to get replaced with mtv.at one point I had been hooked on to apparel from addidas.even though expensive I would have to save up money to buy stuff.

there arent many shops in bangalore for mtv.there is one on brigade road and commercial street.i would buy basically party wear from mtv until we had a rule passed in college (junior college) that we had to only wear formals. I wasnt going for all the van huesan and park avenue and indigo nation.they cost a bomb shell.another problem arose when I could not find cheap ones to fit as the length would be too short.so my only alternative was mtv clothing.they have a good range but the costs are a little high though for something for normal wear.but what choice did I have!(he he).

mtv has a various type of clothing.formal clothes, semi formal and even casual.all three categories ranging from shirts to trousers ,cargoes, long joes etc.i used to hate buying formal stuff as that time I was in that baggy and sports wear phase.my attire would be a t-shirt a pair of anti-fits and sneakers(no no im not a street punk please).at first I was bought one formal shirt which I wore with a lot of fussing.but then it wasnt so bad.so now all my formals come from mtv.they have good ranges of shirts in various colours and designs.these designs move off the path of traditional formal wear design.they have come out with innovative designs that make you feel like you stand out in a crowd when you wear it.the materials are also high quality and have lasted me quite a while.they also have tried mixing colours together to get different shades and most of them look really good.they might look repulsive when they hang on the rack but once you wear it you will change your mind.

the trousers are also different.the one thing I love about their formal trousers is that its wearable with formal and casual.the informal part of the trouser section are mostly the cargoes.but the formal trousers will go with anything.thus I dont have to hunt for stuff to suit different dressing styles.i must say these designers have gone through a lot of trouble to make something worthwhile.their clothes are really eye catching too and not very difficult to spot out.that is what I meant by stand out in a crowd.

well I havent really taken a look at the womens section unless I had to buy something for my cousins (girls of course!).but that was done under the supervision of my mother because she thinks im not good at that.(uhh mom ive been going out with a girl for two years.i have been taught some stuff!).anyway they seem to have varieties from casuals to party wear.im not too sure about the formal section.well party wear is what is bought most of the time.well for the more suttle women the are a bunch of spaghettis and sleeve less's.for the more daring to bare ones I have a seen a couple of halter necks and stuff.im not to sure about that rest.full dresses are a little uncommon though.there are more trousers and tops for you women.

the only disadvantage is that it all comes at a PRICE! and I mean price..the shirts I would buy will range between Rs 200 and 550.trousers are a little more expensive.they would be at the 600 to 900 mark.but the quality is good and the designs are unique.i wouldnt mind saving up for a sale they will come out with sooner or later.but dont you think they should have branded their apparel with a different name.because at times you do feel like and advertisement board with the mtv tabs on your clothes.anyway it looks good and feels good and fits well too.but the price can burn a hole in your pocket.so check the prices and the style you want.

happy shopping
