It was well recommended. It is a refreshing and fast read. But as is the tragedy with all books which are just compilations of earlier published newspaper columns, it suffers on few counts -
I already had read few columns.
There is lack of consistency. While some chapters make you feel happy and make you think about life and its myriad ways, other chapters feel repetitive and outright redundant
There is no theme connecting chapters and thus a person who enjoys continuity may not feel satiated by the end of it.
On plus side, it gives insights into mindset of really rich modern India and the similarities you see between them and middle class people like me, make you identify with the going ons
