I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith today. I had been waiting weeks for it to be shown.

The Stars

Brad Pitt plays John Smith.

Angelina Jolie plays his wife, Jane, (nee Doe).

Vince Vaughn plays John's friend, Eddie.

My Review

They met in Bogota, Columbia, 5 or 6 years ago, (it depends on which one you ask).

When the film begins they're in marriage counseling, trying to bring back their fading relationship that began one torrid night in Bogota, either five or six years ago, depending on which one you talk to. When asked how often they've had sex in the past week, John wants to know if that includes the weekend. Jane asks if it's a scale-of-one-to-10 question, because technically zero would be the answer.

Neither of them know they are in the same line of work... they are assassins. Jane hides her weapons under the stove, (I wonder if either of them ever turn the stove on to cook), while John hides his under the tool shed.

They are assigned to take out the same target.

What I Thought

Jolie's character and Brad's character sizzle when they are on the screen together. It could be when they are dancing, making love, throwing glass or bombarding each other with weapons.

Vince Vaughn, (is a hitman), and he is the comic relief in this film.

The cinematography was fabulous especially during the stunts. The costumes were done very well and match what was happening in the scene, (I didn't like the way Brad's boxer shorts hung).

The Dull Part

In one scene, John and Jane take cover in a Home Depot-type store, but can find nothing more interesting to do than knock over ye old pyramid of canned goods and then hide in a shed, (with his weapons)!

Best Quote

Brad to Angelina, ''Come to daddy!''... Angelina to Brad, ''Who's your daddy, now?''
