::.*.::Khubh Bhalo Chobhi::.*.::. Review on Mr & Mrs Iyer

While others are watching “Main Prem Ki Diwani Hui”, I rented this movie…since I hadn’t watched it…and heard a lot about it …plus it starred my new fav. Rahul Bose.

Movie stars Konkona SenSharma & Rahul Bose and some other talented theatre artists.

Movie is directed by brilliant actress turned director Aparna Sen.

::.::Who is Mr. & Mrs. Iyer?::.::

Mr. Iyer is Raja, a photographer.

Mrs. Iyer is a middle class south Indian housewife with a sweet child.

Movie tells the story of a man and a woman who meet accidentally and ultimately fall in love. But the love they share is forbidden. Before I tell you why their love is forbidden. You should know their story which lead them to have feelings for each other.

They meet on a bus.

They both meet through a friend. Raja who is given responsibility of taking care of a women (Mrs. Iyer) and a baby on the trip. They soon become good acquaintances. Soon find themselves in the middle of a riot. Where the Hindus are looking for Muslims to kill. As Mrs. Iyer finds out that Raja is Muslim – she is shock but she has become good friends so she saves him by saying that he is Mr. Iyer, her husband. With this fake relationship their feelings for each other grows. Shortly, they were forced to spend couple of days in a guesthouse cause of the curfew. Raja a.k.a Mr. Iyer gives her the comfort that she needs. Both are scared and puzzled.

Both realizing they have feeling for one another, can’t say or do anything about it. Their silence is how they express their love. Finally, they reach to their destination, and are left speechless while meeting the real Mr. Iyer. They both say their goodbyes…….

Movie is made with good intentions and is made very well.

It’s a nice movie. All the actors including the one-min cameos by talented actors like Bhishm Sahni and Surekha Sikri…are brilliant.

Rahul Bose is very very good, he is just too good…he acts well…very much looking forward to his other flicks! He speaks very good English.

Konkona Sen– is it me …or this name is just tooo sweet. Bengali girls have sweet name (hehe…hint::: My name:::Bhoomika}

She is just great – her acting as a south Indian wife – she acts with sucha good south Indian accent. She is great! I m very much looking forward to watchin some Bengali flicks by Konkana Sen…

(although, I won’t be able to understand it too well..i ll try to get it with captions)

Story, screenplay and cinematography is good tooo.

Music by Zakhir Hussain is very much soothing and captivating.

What else can I say…..this was an entertaing serious movie to watch (does that make sense…hmmm….hope so)
