If Many of you are like me your completely tired of MICROCRAP always forcing its software on you and never giving you a choice to choose other software because like me many of you just used what came with your computer and thats what you learned to use and were used to. Or maybe we are all just scared of change, but Change is a good thing and its time for us all to try this Web Browser. Mozilla Written from the Source Code of Netscape, Is 100 times the browser Microsoft Internet Explorer is and ever will be. The speed and ease of use that Mozilla brings is un-real compared to IE, IE over the years has gotten more and more complicated as they upgrade the versions and add features, some features 99% of the people dont even use or even want for that fact! But you have no choice to get the browser you have to take all the JUNK bundled with it, making IE one heck of a Download now. Poor people who still use a phone modem can spend upwards of 8+ hours just to download the new IE web browser. This is outrageous. Enter Mozilla , at just a small 11MB download (small compared to IE's 100+ MB download) it will take phone line users some time to Download the browser (1-2 hours) but it is well worth the Download.
After the download Mozilla installs quickly and easily and takes up only a FRACTION of the room IE does. Mozilla is just your basic Java capable web browser, with a few added features I love. Mozilla supports Tabbed browsing, meaning you can open new web pages inside the same web browser but in a new window this is hard to explain in writing but if you go to the web site you can see some screen shots. Now for those of you that are saying hey I like some of those features in IE , but your telling me Mozilla doesnt have them?? No Mozilla has as many Features as IE and MORE and they are coming out with More everyday, but unlike IE wich has to release a whole new VERSION to get the new features to the public , and could take as long as a year to get 1 new feature out because they are waiting on the next version release to come out, Mozilla supports something called PLUGINS which is an ingenious concept!!!! this means since Mozilla is an open source web browser thier source code is out there for anyone including me and you to get and alter any way we want.
Unlike IE who keeps thiers some big secret. But this open source project gives everyday ordinary people the ability to write new features and post them on a specially designed web site and distribute them daily. and gives us the users the ability to install only the features WE WANT and NEED instead of having a bunch of crap we dont need or use!!! thus limiting the space it takes up on our computers! If that isnt enough to sell you on Mozilla let me tell you a few more things about it. Mozilla comes with its own Built in E-mail client not a stand alone client like outlook express or outlook but built in to the web browser and 100 times better than Outlook express. Not only does it offer all the features and more that Outlook express offers but it has the same functionality as the web browser , meaning its open source and has PLUG IN capabilities also. so you can find the features you want in your e-mail client and install those. it can do multipul e-mail accounts , multipul news group accounts , supports encryption , and even has a new junk mail stopper. On top of all this Mozilla also comes with a built in Address book thats just as good as Windows Address book , Ooutlook , ect ect plus it is built on the same foundation as the browser and E-mail client meaning there are plug ins for it to add only the features you want or need. It also comes with a built in Web Page designer , I havent used this much but its as good as Front Page express and then some also because they have plug ins for it , I know they have a style sheet plug in which I think is awesome.
It Also comes with a built in Chat client similar to MIRC or PIRCH, although I still prefer to use MIRC.
