Mouthshut.......How come?. Review on Mouthshut

While driving my car, one day a long time ago, I saw an advertisement painted in the rear of a rickshaw ahead of my car. It had a funny, rather ugly looking face and a very bold print in which it talked about what it was supposed to. It was an ad for a website. All it said was the URL of that website. The name was shocking and strange unlike the other names, which were really really long and difficult to remember, this one was unique, in what sense, please don't ask me. I said to myself, damn the www boom. People can't get crazier than this. I mean, come on, how can one think of a name as stupid as this.

I drove past that rickshaw in a jiffy and almost forgot about that site, when a few days later, I came across another rick with the same damn name and the same damn print and after that day, I encountered atleast a hundred ricks with the same rear. Hey not bad, I thought to myself, at last after the local paanwallas, somebody thought about the poor rickshaw wallas and made a site for them. But what does the site contain? The question stuck my mind, but finding out the answer was never on my agenda. A few weeks later, I almost ignored that ad, whenever I came across one.

I believe, a year later or so, I was with my friends, when I noticed another three wheeler which sported a similar looking sign. I told my friend, ''What the heck man. Where is the IT revolution heading to?''. She was curious as to what made me stay that. I pointed out the vehicle and she immediately shushed me and said, ''Don't be loud, Aarti visits this site regularly''. I wondered, what our friend, visited a rickshaw site for? ''Beats me'', I replied and she said, ''well you see, its a pretty good site. I've been to it plenty of times too.'' I questioned her as to what that site was all about. She explained me all about that site and then I realized its not just the IT industry going to the dogs, but also the advertising industry. I questioned, what made them advertise behind rickshaws with such ugly banners. She asked me, ''Do u remember the first time you saw this sign?''. My reply was positive and she asked me, ''how many times has it been, that u see an ad and remember it for a long time?''. It was a rare experience no doubt, but I got what she said. The ad was ugly which struck ones mind to an extent that after a year, u still talk about it.

A very interesting talk and we moved on to enjoying the rest of the evening and forgot about that site completely. Yesterday, late at night, while chatting with Aarti (the same nerd who visits that site), I happened to generally ask her as to what she kept doing over the net besides boring others, she replied, that she writes reviews, reads em and rates em, besides downloading songs. Suddenly it struck me and I asked her, whether it was the same site, that I was so inquisitive about? Getting a positive reply from her, I suddenly logged on to it and now you are reading my second review. Yes, you guessed it right MOUTHSHUT.COM it is and if u haven't seen those ads on the back of the rickshaws, chances are you don't travel much.

A lot about the history of getting to the site, but once I was there, I couldn't help putting my views and getting views of people on various issues. Not much that I know about this place, just 2 days old here, but am already excited to put in my reviews, read things off it and refer my friends to it.

The best part I liked about this site is that you can speak your mind out about almost any topic and also add people in trusted lists. The facilities available on it also is great. Now I can get a notification whenever Aarti writes a review also, there was someone in a fix about buying a car and I was glad that am a pro at it.

This is a great place to be in. Hope more and more people can discuss more and more topics. Lets get to know each other. Lets explore the minds of the people around us. Hopefully, we can lead to a very understanding and open future.
