You can depend on it. Review on Mouthshut

At least I can depend on it. There has been many a time when I bought a product after reading a mouthshut review, and I wasn't disappointed each time.

Before mouthshut, there were other product review websites such as productorium.com and productopia.com - but they either they got shut down or became tacky and less-user friendly. In desperation, I searched Google for reviews and was directed to Mouthshut.com.

At first, I was amazed by the number of reviews in this site - almost everyone and their neighbour has written one. I also found that the reviews here are useful, informative and discerning. Also, the variety of reviews meant that I can get reviews on almost anything used by consumers. I have searched again but have found no other website containing reviews of such a level for Indians.

One negative thing - if a product is not available here, it becomes difficult to introduce it in a category - at least, I found it difficult. I bought a Haier air conditioner last year - it is a good product - but when I tried to write a review here, I could not since Haier was not included in the Air conditioners category. Requests to Jasmine was of no help. Anyways, its water under the bridge now.

To summarise, I recommend you check this site before buying anything.
