What I don't like about MS:
1)Trusted Circles and distrust lists. At first I didn't mind it, then I realized this creates a hostile environment. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you distrust them as a person.
2) Subjective comments..comments about the reviewer's personality, intelligence, etc. Also I hear some cussing on this board. Take it easy, guys.
3) We have a tendency to rate on the basis of whether we agree with it,not on the review itself.
4) Quality is better than quantity. A lot of times there are complaints about people who write short reviews. However I would rather read a short snappy review that tells me what I need to know instead of a long boring one.
5) You have to write what they want you to write..this is the saddest part because it's self-defeating. Why have a review site if you're going to censor it? For example, if I had written a review about Indian culture being wonderful and perfect in every way, it would never have been yanked off the site. But I wrote about something that made them uncomfortable because it was true. This is my only major complaint about MS.
Weigh all of this against...what I like about it..the pure joy of writing. Which almost outweighs that stuff. But the censorship is making me consider other review sites instead. Considering I wrote all this, they might even yank this off too. LIVE FREE OR DIE, people.
