Hello people. I am back with another one of my crazy renditions on this site. As some of you might know already, I am a crazy, opinionated and somewhat intelligent fellow (too bad Anusha isn't here to vouch for that fact!). Anyway, Tenny knows this too. So here I am writing my 70-something review and this time, its about mouthshut.com, a site which most of you will be familiar with.:-) Anyways, this is a light-hearted opinion of the site's members and the review has to be taken with a touch of NaCl. Now those who don't know what NaCl is, too bad! This is not one of those, "Mouthshut is a community of awakened individuals" reviews, this one is different and maybe not so nice. Its for you to decide. Here, I will take friendly jab at some of the members I have interacted with over the course of my five month stay at this site. I will compare each member here with a celebrity whom I think he or she closely resembles in terms of personality. In short, I am assigning a celebrity double to all members. Here goes:
amateurabe- Rekha
Abha aunty, your honest, frank and almost diva-like attitude make me compare you with Rekha, India's original diva who turns better with age as is the case with wine. A true style symbol, your reviews are bold but classy, different but interesting and funny but informative. Quite an explosive match na!
diver- Aamir Khan
Just like Aamir Khan's movies, diver's reviews are thought-provoking and intelligent, yet strangely mainstream. With a passion for writing as strong as Aamir's for good acting diver is this website's superstar. And like the classy Khan, diver too seems to have become very selective in writing reviews these days.
chand_tare - Rani Mukherjee
It took me some time to zero in on an actress for Chandra but I feel that Rani is the perfect celebrity double for her. Dilligent and discreet, Chandra can carry off any topic with consumate ease just like Rani Mukherjee. A classic sense of humour packed in with humility mean that Chandra is definitely reigning on mouthshut.
evil_beauty- Mallika Sherawat
Just like Mallika Sherawat's acts on screen caused a huge uproar, evil_beauty's reviews have caused a storm- albeit in a tea cup. While most members do not hide their discontent regarding her way-too-bold writing skill, isn't it time we appreciate her marketing strategy atleast? Let's hope she is not all show and no go like her celebrity double is.
sourray- Saif Ali Khan
Suave, swelte and funny in a way: this is how I would describe both Saif and sourray. Although sourray's seriousness and commitment to this site is unquestionable, he is the boy-next-door just as Saif is. Besides, he also shares my passion for Formula One and his reviews on all topics are good.
psyxx- Shah Rukh Khan
Psyxx was very active on this website earlier, but seems to have gone underground now. But his charm, wit and humour have brought him through the ranks just as SRK has risen from the lower echelons of the film industry. Today, he too can claim to be the baadshah of mouthshut.
krazy4sonu -Preity Zinta
With the same "I-don't -care -attitude" mingled appropriately with a friendly nature, Anusha is every bit the intelligent, modern, upbeat and perenially bubbly like her celebrity double. Her reviews come across as sweet and honest efforts written with a clean heart, without any pretensions. My only complaint against her: she has left mouthshut. :-(
mah e tamam- Aishwariya Rai
Causing the same impact as the Miss World 1994, mah e tamam aka Divya has made her mouthshut debut recently but has swiftly risen from incognito to famous in a very short span of time. She hasn't had to resort to cheap tricks so far, and like Aishwariya, she is always in the fight for number one. But Divya is no icy- cold woman like Ash is suspected to be. Let me clarify this so as to avoid any curses in the comments section!
magicalsummer-Hema Malini
Just like the age-defying Hema Malini, magicalsummer's writings just seem to get better and better!! And like her celebrity double, she can give the younger ones a run for their money as well. Now, she isn't old or anything, but this comparision with Hema Malini is born out of sheer respect. To top it all of, she is courteous and not at all demanding.
fenil_seta - Shahid Kapoor
Fenil is just a week older than me and reminds for some reson of Shahid Kapoor. Perhaps it is the simple-innocent magic of his writings that resemble Shahid's young and simple acting that have made me draw this comparision. At the tender age of 15, he already on the star writer's list, a commendable achievement. Now, only if we can find a Kareena for this movie fanatic. :D
suketu- Anil Kapoor
Just like Anil Kapoor himself, suketu tells his story wothout too many hassles. In short, he is the goody-good guy who is on good terms with evrybody yet starngely detached in such a way that the fear of competition does not scare or frighten him in the slightest.
~Since MS is a website for the people, I thought that writing on the people who make this website more than a webpage was important. I know this is an unusual way of thanking everyone but I felt that it was apt to write a tribute on these members who make MS what it is. Also, if I have missed out any names who have been instrumental in making me a regular writer on MS, please forgive me. I still needyour blessings, well wishes and benevolence to help me grow. Thank you.~
