~Can I trust you~... How to be added to my trust
Oct 10, 2001 05:01 AM 1759 Views

Why would I add you to my trust list? Why do we even need a trust list? For those who are new, or for those who want to be on my trust list read this review and find out why I add people to my trust list and how can you become a trusted member at this site and on my list.

First off let me answer the question as to why we even have a trust list. I believe the trust list is something a member uses to keep up with those authors that they enjoy reading reviews from. A trust list can be helpful in many different ways. When you first become a member of moutshut.com you want to first sit back and start to read and rate and leave comments on other members reviews.

You want to keep your eyes open to those authors who you felt wrote some great reviews. Once you feel you can trust this person’s advice or opinion, then you can add his/her name to your trusted list. This will help you keep track of the author and his/her reviews.

I have to agree with one members review when she wrote that the trust list shouldn’t be used as a way of saying, “I’m trusted more then you are”. It’s not a popularity contest and I agree with abababbey and her review. You should never add a person to your trust list unless you feel they do great quality work. Don’t feel like you have to add a person just because they added your name to their trust list.

If you are new to the site, and you haven’t been added to anyone else’s trust list please don’t let this hinder you from writing. The reason might be because you need to write a few more reviews so that the other people can get to know you better and see how your style of writing progresses.

How do you get on my trust list?

I hold my trust list very high. I don’t believe in adding anyone that doesn’t really care about reading his or her stuff. I wont add you to my trust list just because you added me to yours. I don’t feel this is a list where you have to scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours type of deal.

I will read a few of your most recent reviews and I will see if you have kept my attention and if you have showed me that you put a lot of time into your review. I look for originality in your writings, and I add you once I feel like I can enjoy your style of writing.

I don’t care to much for spelling or grammar, but I wont add you to trust list if you have bad reviews that are NR rated or SW rated all the time. I feel that spelling and grammar is something that each person individually needs to work on, but it wont’ keep you off my trusted list. (Reason being is because I’m not the best at spelling and grammar either, so I won’t judge anyone on this).

One other thing I look for is if a person leaves comments on my reviews that are helpful or encouraging. I feel this person had the time to leave this comment and therefore I will check out his/her reviews and see if they should be added to my trusted list. It’s not that hard to be added to a trusted list. Just make sure you do your best in your reviews, and try not to write reviews that are going to discriminate against anyone or any religion. Those are controversial reviews and can in some way not help you.
