Al Vida , good bye , I had a great time at mouthshut , enjoyed every moment of it , made a lot of friends , but as no one commented on My ''Please Please Me'' by Beatles review, I am quitting …
!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAH !!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you think I'll leave … no way cmon guys this has become some sort of a fad , and I guess all the guys who gave supportive comments are eligible to be Agony Aunts in various magazines, after all the experience we have gained at mouthshut.
It is extremely appalling to see that ''we'' who write reviews on how we must be together and why there is unnecessary unpleasantness across the world are following the same rules in our very own backyard. There have been instances of ridiculous reviews followed by even more ridiculous comments and then … MAYHEM !!!! . I have been noticing this has been happening with amazing regularity in the past month or so. Where is the paradise like Mouthshut wherein all of us like angels with white wings supported the new authors , reprimanded some oh so gently and helped them write better.
A LIST OF DONTS IN MOUTHSHUT
Members who are Doctors in copy and paste , merrily copying word to word from other websites, sometimes from our very own members must be immediately given a warning and their reviews removed. I must add that the MS ''Law and Order'' team has done this with some brilliant deftness recently.
Addressing this issue I must also add that the esteemed members in MS must avoid going over the top in commenting on such reviews and merely address the issue. When someone posts a negative review , pray tell me is it so very necessary to give a comment of similar length giving your clarification and that too in harsh words. Cant we just get our point across and request the writer to edit the '' disputed '' portion and why are Aarti , Faisal and the entire team of MS for , they would do what they term is fair and suppress the issue.
I would like to add I have seen some new members write One line with difficulty and merrily go copy pasting it 20 times and giving 5 stars to it. Cmon guys we are here to share our views and also to improve on our writing skills, what are we to gain with such pathetic reviews being dished out.
So finally let me add that I am not bidding goodbye and it was not a long drawn detailed thesis either , I just wanted to write my heart out on this problem at mouthshut , I hope all of us ( and that includes moi !!! ) will be good children and maintain decorum in MS. I also urge members to be a little more mature and deal with the crisis in a diplomatic manner rather than leave or mentioning the same on MS..
