Straight from the heart - Part II. Review on MouthShut Community Center

A century is always very special.  It represents a mark of achievement and is a matter of pride.  Hence touching this milestone of century gives anybody great joy.  And it is no different for me, whose eyes are filled with tears of joy and happiness, as I sit down to write my 100th review in my online home, Mouthshut.com .  What is making this review all the more special is that I am writing my 100th review on my birthday.  Yes, I am completing 19 years today and this is indeed a sentimental occassion for me.  To be honest, in all my 19 years of stay on Planet Earth, I have never had such an experience I have had in my 170 day stay in this site.

Hence on this special occassion, I would like to express my thoughts on MS Community Center but more so on the MS community itself.  So, my dear brothers and sisters of mouthshut, I humbly dedicate this review to everybody who are a part of mouthshut.com .  You are the ones who really keep me going.

Starting up the formal review, the Community Center is a common meeting place for all mouthshut members.  Although nobody can directly interact with fellow members, there is a certain communication medium out here.  Let us get to know it.

Firstly the main page.  This is where all the announcements are made.  You get to know al the info on the latest happenings in MS.  This in a way helps keep the members informed about contests, new categories and all that.  On a personal count, it is the community center that really gave me an upthrust in the form of Find-Write-Win contest.  Although I won just a wrist watch, I am really happy to have achieved something.  On the whole, this page gives us all the necessary details on the latest happenings.

Then come the sub-sections.  Important among them is the Member News section.  Well, I love this for it gives an opportunity for members to communicate with fellow members.  But in my honest opinion, this section needs to be a bit more better.  It can be or should be improved in more than one ways so as to emerge as a better communicative medium between fellow members.  Firstly, the complicated way of posting the message by mailing to 'support' should be taken off and direct message posting like comments should be incorporated.  Of course, for the sake of sanctity, a vigil should be kept on the messages.  Or another option would be to make message sections under different topics.  But I feel the former is feasible.

Well, the next thing to follow would be the MS Hall of Fame where you find MS's most wanted members.  Then there is the Best debut and Hot reviews sections. Help Center, FAQs, Mouth Sealed and Mouth Flagged follow suit.

On the whole the community center is a happening place but still I have some suggesstions for improvement of this center.  But as I have got to passionately put down some 'Straight from the heart' thoughts on the community as such, I would write about everything else in my next review.

The MS community is not just a community.  It is a step more for me.  MS is more of a family.  It certainly has got every essential of a family.  Firstly it has got people who are kind and warm.  People who get together for a common cause and carry it out with aplomb.  It is the adaptability and ability of each member to graciously accept a new member as one among them that has really kept this family going.  Appreciating and praising when someone performs and criticizing when the same person doesn't, the community defines motivation and inspiration.  What is really special about this family is that not only does one strive for excellence but support the other to excel too.  The MS family defines the meaning of helping each other and living together.  Taking part in each member's joys and sorrows is what makes this community be called as a family.  And true, just like a family, this community has had its times, rough and smooth.  And that is why there is a strong bond between members out here.

What this family gave me?  Well, firstly, it gave me some great works in the form of reviews.  Some exceptional reviews trimmed my mind up for sure.  I just can't count the number of classy reviews we have got here.  Right from Suyog's'Eight ways to fail in an interview' to Yamraaj's'Faisal is forgiven', from Pooj's'My online home I & II' to Pavithrashinde's review on'Love Story' by Eric Sehgal, this community has given it all.  Well, be it humourous, serious, sarcastic, retaliatory, informative, comparitive, comprehensive or thoughtful, you get to see all kinds of quality reviews from fellow members out here.  Above all, what I really love is that no one writes reviews for materialistic needs but tries to be as innovative as possible so to share his/her thoughts in the best possible way.

Secondly, this site gave me friends.  Friends, friends and more friends.  The list is endless.  More so I did get some brothers and sisters out here.  Each and every single person tries to present a friendly gesture and well, be it criticizing or praising, they do it with liberty and that is exactly why I love this community.

Finally, this community taught me the art of co-existence.  It taught me how you should treat someone, bring the best out of a person through motivation and as how one should present his/her views.  This site and its members taught me how one should improve on his skills.  If I am a good enough writer today, then without doubt it is because of all those comments and motivation from fellow members.  That is why I simply admire this community.

Concluding the review, it gives me great joy to write my 100th review on this special day about this awesome community.  While Maddy bhai calls MS his internet katta and Pooja calls MS her online home, I would go one step further and call my MS community as a family and I am so glad that I too am a part of this wonderful family.  I hope my bond with this community would continue for as long as possible and as I wipe off my tears of joy coming down my cheeks, I would say that I cherish every single moment I stay here and this sweet experience of MS should continue on.
