You remember all those Do the Dew commercials with people doing all sorts of extreme things after drinking a Mountain Dew? Truth in advertising would be more like this, a bunch of people sitting around a table at a coffee shop, tall glasses filled with a clear, faintly chartreuse bubbling liquid and chunks of ice.
In front of them on the table are sheets, maps that will help you through an imaginary dungeon laid out so that the prisoner monsters are running free in a labyrinth, oddly shaped dice, pencils and lots of paper. If there are women at the table, they are outnumbered by men.
They are drinking their Mountain Dew, and empowered to be the most powerful mages, thieves and clerics you've ever met. This is serious business, and Mountain Dew, with it's higher than average for a soda amount of caffeine is what these adventurers need to prove how great they are. It's liquid magic, it's the fuel for great things.
It's Mountain Dew! You can't be a good sorcerer without Mountain Dew! Even the people who have gone with technology away from dice and paper have it by their side as they explore their dungeons using their computers.
