Mount Abu at a height of 1,200 metres above sea level is Rajasthan's only hill station. The 22 km long hill station has among its principal attractions a cool climate. Where you go by Train / Bus / Taxi. When I visited Mount Abu I was gone by train with a group of 8 peoples. I visited Mount Abu in the month of October 2005 to attend the conference on mind-body medicine, which was organized by Brahma Kumaries Ishwariya Vishwa Vidhalay, Mount Abu. I took train “ Ashram Express” from Old Delhi Railway Station in the afternoon at 3:00 pm. We are reserved a General sleeper boggy. The compartment contains 3 Sleeper both the side. In which both seats are reserved in our name. We set up our luggages and chat with each other. In the night we will take our dinner after finished our dinner we will plan to sleep. In the morning at 4:30 am our train reached at Abu station, where peoples are eagerly waiting for us to meet and they put him to his car to reach at Brahma Kumaries Ishwariya Vishwa Vidhalay, Mount Abu. After reaching at place they allotted rooms to us, we are go with him where he allotted the rooms. We take small rest and take bath for refresh our self. We take breakfast, which was prepared by him. The best thing is that the food was prepared by solar system and it was very tasty. Well we come here to attend the conference on Mind-Body Medicine so; we proceed to a big hall where the conference is going on. Actually this institution is based on spirituality, so we learn how to energies our self through deep meditation and take power from God, which helps us to energies, our inner power. At the time when we learn meditation we realized that we get power to energies inner power. It was a great experience, which we realized while meditation.

According to institute program we visited several places in Mount Abu. The site scenes are very beautiful we take car, which was provided by the institute for visited places with guide. While traveling in a car we see Mountains covered with clouds the view is so beautiful that we can’t imagine the beauty of nature. Well the places where we visited are Dilware Jain Temple, Pandav Bhawan, Niki Lake, Museum and Art Gallery, Om Shanti Bhawan etc.

Dilwara Temples: At a very short distance of 5 km lie these wonderfully carved Jain temples dating back to the 11th and 13th centuries A.D. Rated as among the finest of Indian temples, it is recommended that any visitor to Rajasthan include them on his itinerary. The marble architecture here is comparable with the best.

Nakki Lake: The lake derives its name from the belief that it was gouged out of the earth by the fingernails (nakk) of the gods. The lake is the focal point of tourist activity in Mt. Abu. Boats are available for hire at reasonable rates.

Sunset Point: At a short distance from the lake, a spectacular view of the sunset can be witnessed here in quiet contemplation of nature.

Gomukh Temple: Located about 2 Kms from Mount Abu, this is the site of the ancient agnikunda , where legend has it that sage Vashistha performed the great fire sacrifice. The temple contains an image of Vasistha along with images of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, both of whom are considered to be incarnations of Vishnu, the Preserver of the Hindu trinity. The name Gomukh literally means cow's mouth, referring to a spring here which flows through the mouth of a marble cow. The spring water is believed to have sacred, purifying properties.

Om Shanti Bhawan: It was founded in 1983 and situated near Pandav Bhawan H.Q. of Brahma Kumari's world spiritual university. It contains a Art gallery, spiritual museum, oval shaped Raj yoga meditation room along with Universal peace hall. This is the first biggest hall in the state, 3rd in the country and 5th in Asia.

The roof of this hall is supported without any pillar. It has a sitting capacity of 3 to 4 thousand people and facilitated with Vedio System. Here a conference is held every year in Febuarary.

Universal Harmony Hall: has a seating capacity for about 1600 individuals and simultaneous translation in more than 16 languages. It has been designed with excellent acoustics and has both heating and cooling systems. International Center for Higher Learning has 13 seminar rooms with seating capacity ranging from 75-150 individuals. An ideal setting for experiential learning processes.

The Spiritual Art Gallery: is a combination of high tech audio-visual interactive programs with traditional Indian art and murals depicting international images. This unique gallery gives an experience of the 5 ages of human civilization, golden, silver, copper, iron and confluence.

Global Hospital: In 1991, the Brahma Kumaris initiated the founding in Mt. Abu of the J. Wattumal Memorial Global Hospital and Research Centre and this now functions as a full-service seventy-bed hospital offering free or subsidized treatment and medicine to 90,000 people, of whom about 54,000 are tribal, living in the district's 855 villages.

These are the places were you have must visit when you had plan to visit Mount Abu. The place is very cool and peaceful you can enjoy your trip very much with a cool climate, beautiful sites, lake and most Popular temples in mount Abu.
