Just a few days back I made a short trip to Mount Abu. Overall it was a good trip.
We started at around 1 pm and reached in around 45 minutes ( distance 27 km from abu road). The temperature was decreasing with ascent. Many langoors ( leaf monkeys) were visible on way. Notices about not littering and fine on feeding wild animals were abundance. And the road side was also clean, not littered with empty wafers packets and bottles.
Well, first of all I visited Delwara Temples. Magnificent , I should say . These temples are beautifully decorated with marble work. After that took a boat for trip in the nakki lake. Many birds- ducks and water hens were resting on the islands in between. The boat cost around 270 /- for 5 people and was sailed by a boat man. One thing I noticed that lake was not dumped with garbage and was clean.
Took some refreshment in the restaurant shaped as a boat ( forgot name). Food was no good. Even dal baati was bad. Beware of this hotel.
Finally went to the sun set point ( also called honeymoon point). Very good view of aravali ranges. however was disturbed was rowdy college students who were shouting.
Finally made a visit to the market near nakki lake and returned.
