Extract of my communication with Motorola Customer Care is appended below to give every mouthshut member a true feed of Motorola:


*1st mail from my side


*I have purchased MOTORAZR2 on 01/04/2008 from Delhi & using it at Bikaner (Rajasthan). Unfortunately the lid/cap of handset's chrging point (situated on the left side of handset) got damaged & needs replacement. I approached Motorola's local auth. service cenrte at Bikaner (M/s Shree COmputers) who refused to entertain repair of the instrument even on chargeable basis. Behaiviour of the rep. of auth. service cenrte was also very rude. Since MOTORAZR2 is a style phone, I can not use it in present condition. But at the same time I don't know from where I may get it repaired. Kindly confirm whether the instrument can be repaired or not so that I may start looking for new instrument (of which spare parts are easily available).

Final mail from my side


Dear Sir, I have never insisted upon getting the handset repaired under warranty. It is very sad to know that Motorola is not having any provision for getting the handset repaired for damages which are not covered in the warranty. Also one gentleman from your deptt. told me that this part of handset comes under the category of COSMETICS and hence can not be replaced. Kindly note that every one knows that entire handset MOTORAZR2 of motorola comes under category of COSMETICS only. Finally, this type of respense was not at all expected from such a wonderful organization. Thank you very much for your CUSTOMER SERVICE. so friends, as u can see, everytime a new reply from a new person of Motorola who even doesn't know the history of the case.


Now I have decided to gift this handset to my 'doodhwala' on Diwali and to buy New Nokia 5800 (Nokia Rocks).


Those u r still using Motorola, my hearty sympathy is with them...
