Things to keep in mind before buying:

1) There is no inbuilt compass. GPS works fine but if you are a trekker or adventurer or looking for directions from a static point for religious prayer purpose, this is not the device you need to buy as there is no hardware support. – I very badly needed this feature but understood only after buying.

2) There are some basic built in apps like Messages, Gallery which are pretty nice in phones like Samsung, fails here. The ones which come inbuilt aren’t great. I had to download from App store but not to that of Samsung standard.

3) Camera is much hyped. It is not as described. It is a decent one but as claimed in advertisements that this is a camera phone. Big No for it.

4) Camera doesn’t work well in low light.

5) OTG is supported but no cable is provided with the box, you need to buy it separate.

6) Headphones are of very cheap standard.

Common complaints which actually aren’t:

1) Phone gets heated up only when you connect to turbo power charger. Apart from that there is no heating problem.

2) Phone doesn’t hang unless you are a gaming freak or heavy user. By pressing power and volume button together, you can restart. Non removable battery is not a constraint.

3) Sound quality from the speakers is quite good.

Where this phone stands apart:

1) Battery backup is decent. Phone is mostly connected to WiFi and I browse through Media, play games often. Still I get a good backup. – Power saver option is a great plus!

2) Finger print scanner is perfect. Unlocks in a fizz. You can save up to 5 finger impressions.

3) Connecting to WiFi and the range it picks up is great.

4) I bought it when it was Rs, 14, 999/-. I felt it overpriced. Now with Rs.13, 499/- I think it’s a good buy.

Verdict – You will not repent for buying this phone. That’s for sure but do not keep very high expectations. In today’s smartphone world, on an average, one does not keep a gadget for more than 2-3 years. In that aspect, this is up to today’s modern standard.

Motorola folks in the pressure of keeping the cost down, have played with much basic stuffs which could have been avoided.
