I have used the Moto G 4G model for 4 months after switching from an HTC One M7(2013). The last three smartphones I used had some issues that have left me unable to fully enjoy using them. Whether it was aging and slowing hardware(iPhone 3G), lack of software updates and developer support(One X+), or an underwhelming battery life(One M7)
I was never entirely comfortable with any one smartphone. 4 months into my time with the Moto G 4G, I can confidently say that the streak is broken. It may not have the fastest CPU or GPU, but it's fast enough for what I need and can hang in there during the occasional gaming session; it has been among the first to receive software updates among manufacturers with a growing developer community on XDA; it has an outstanding battery life that puts most Android phones to shame, giving me a consistent 2 days of use with 2-3 hours screen time.
And best of all, the 4.5" 720p screen never reminds you of this phone's budget origins. The Moto G 4G does everything I need it to, and then some. Moving down from a 2013 flagship, I have been very comfortable with this 4.5" contender that punches well above its weight class.
