Bt Even I have faced the same issue with the Moto G3. There seems to be some loose connection at the mouth piece region. The problem happens very rarely, but when it happens I just press the region gently with 2 fingers and the sound comes back. Try this, it might just work. Hope this helps.
And All of a sudden I have no sound at all on my Moto G3 - no sound indicators for messages coming in, alarms, etc. and unable to hear the preloaded sounds to pick for indicators of calls, messages, etc. Anyone else having this problem? .
