I bought Moto E about a couple months ago from today. A friend of mine suggested me to go for Moto, which you might already know is a Google company. I had a small budget of Rs. 6000 and was not sure if I can get a good smartphone in this range or not.
I have already used some handsets from Micromax, Karbonn and a few more Indian brands that provide budget smartphones. I was not willing to buy from them at this small budget as I knew the quality of and common problems with their products.
So, as suggested by my friend, more influenced by the magic of the word "Google", I started searching for a smartphone from Moto on amazon. And I stumbled upon Moto E that was fitting perfectly on my needs and budget.
Why did I purchase Moto E?
So yeah, I bought Moto E XT 1506, 3G, Black. These 5 things made me go and order the handset without thinking much:
Stock Android(Lollypop 5)
Good appearance
Good battery(2390 mAh Li-ON)
Powerful processor, 1.2GHz quad-core, 1GB RAM
Brand name, of course.
Here are some worth-mentioning features of Moto E:
4.5" qHD display with Corning gorilla glass
Water resistant coating on both sides(in and out)
Dual SIM support(1st 3G, 2nd 2G)
VGA front camera and 5MP rear camera
Curved design that gives you a good grip over your phone
Useful built-in apps(Moto, Migrate)
Available in 2 colors(Black, White)
Available with 4G support as well(I bought 3G)
Likes:
No lags whatsoever when used normally
Splendid design, the phone fits really well in hand
Good battery, requires less power to get charged, charges real quick, can last for 2 days on general use
8GB internal memory, external memory expandable up to 32GB
Good sound/call quality
Dislikes:
May lag a bit with graphic-intense games
Camera quality, both front and rear, may disappoint a bit. No flash
A bit heavy handset(145g)
No USB OTG support
Moto E 2nd generation handset(XT 1506) comes with a USB charger, earphones, and phone manuals. The charger's wire when detached from the charging jack, can also be used as USB data cable to connect the phone with a computer via USB.
All in all, its a good smartphone to get under 6000, I bought this one from Amazon at Rs. 5225. Conclusively, if you are looking for a fast operating smartphone in this range, it is one of the primes to go for.
Peace.
