Contrary to a normal customer's post-purchase behaviour, here I am shouting out loud what a grave mistake I, a non-gizmo person, did in purchasing this piece.

The momet I saw the set, I fell in love with the beauty - it was just too good and when the seller played Dhoom through headset into my ears my decision was made.

And yes, I thought Motorola makes good ''hard''ware.

Slowly I realised that;

--It does not play wave files

--Takes very long to access the data on memory card (removable)

--The software to trf files from PC to phone is a pain. After every one file of trf you have to switch the phone off, switch it on again and also close and open the application software on PC. The trf just stops many times during transfer. If data is assigned to categories, the ?mobile phone tools? software is not able to read it.

--The manual has been written in a great hurry. There is no continuity at all and the features have not been well-explained.

--The data files stored get corrupted automatically.

--The java applications sometimes automatically stop and are closed.

--Yes the resolution is good and it plays MP3 well but it hardly recognizes most of the sound/still/video files that are available around.

--Most software is made keeping Nokia in mind

--Recently, I copied 3GP files to the removable card but I was not able to locate them though the memory was used.

--I am not able to assign files to various categories.

--Writing SMSes is too complicated

Last week, I just could not set up the alarm. I decided to write to Motorola. Their foreign customer care executive told me to take a walk and report the matter locally. The local people are yet to reply.

The choice is yours.
