If I could rate higher for value of money, I would rate it at 100 over 5.
I got this phone for christmas, and at first was skeptical. I love sleek, small, streamlined gadgets that look sophisticated and all. Right off the bat, the Rokr looks a bit clunky.
But: wait till you see what I do with my rokr:
as mentioned in the previous review with all the tech specs, I can listen to MUSIC on my PHONE!! Yeah there are a lot of MP3 phones out there but to me its still amazing that I can have all these features in one place. I can listen to my music for LONG periods of time without charging. I even went on a four hour trip and played the speakers constantly and didn't have to charge till the end of the next day. And I abuse my phone!! like I use it all the time....So that means its just the best for battery life.(i've had it for almost 8 months now).
The features are amazing: calendar, shortcut buttons, easy to use memo, attractive interface, STORAGE that can be expanded, beautiful coloured lights when the phone rings which you can customize, u can customize anything! Add ur own pictures as wallpaper, use your own songs as ringtones, personalize ringtones per call....AMAZING! I love it because I used to pay to mod my phone and now I can do it all myself...ringtones cost nothing and are amazing!
THE BEST FEATURE IS: I CAN WATCH VIDEOS ON MY PHONE TOO!!! I can convert WHOLE movies and watch them on my phone: I once had a hindi full length film and three sitcoms and some comedy shorts on my phone in 3gp format...Watched them for hours on the plane and in the car, on the subway....THIS IS BETTER THAN AN IPOD!
The only downside is that it takes a little longer for the songs to be transferred from Itunes to the phone, and that it only takes a hundred songs, BUT...when comparing it to the functionality of the iPod :
Ipod: bigger screen to watch movies
better quality of image (a little better: but rokr can have good quality videos, they'll just use more memory)
LOTS of storage

WHAT ELSE lets you Talk on the phone, take pictures, take videos,(both good quality) watch videos and tv shows, keep ur numbers, keep track of your calendar, has SPEAKERS BUILT IN THAT CAN MAKE A PARTY HAPPEN ...(volume is amazing on this thing!!) AND STILL FIT IN YOUR POCKET???
THE ROKR!!!!
All the other newer MP3 phones out there, don't have the same little quirks and charm that the rokr has..its been so criticized but I will never upgrade or change my little phone>>>I love the colours, I love the design, the size for talking, the little lights that flash when I get a call, the club lights that pulsate when you're in a place with Bass....GOSH!! How could you not buy this phone???
