I bought a new Motorola c261 - I always liked motorola: + an easy to use one click access to the phone book. + The black finish gave a dashing look to the instrument + weight is not too much nor too little - I am one of those who prefers some weight so that I realise if it is missing from my pocket! + reasonably priced. + GPRS enabled - although have yet to use it - after 2 weeks of usage, the software began slowing down - deleting messages was not possible. I am still trying to figure if there is a firmware upgrade required or somehting of that sort - good camera but the light effect is not too great so unless you are under the bright sun, tough luck - ring tone volume is decent, which means in the Indian din, you may miss hearing it - think there is something missing in setting alarms - the DATE on which you want the alarm!! Thought this one was value for money and now believe it is good for someone like me who uses it more simply for incoming/outgoing and once-in-a-while clicking pics

An update to be fair here - the phone has been working just fine for the last week or so in terms of the message deletion. I did not go for any upgrade but somehow the problem appears to be sorted out now.
