This is a real story depicting early days of Che guevara: an argentine-born marxist leader, famous figure, and leader of cuban and internationalist guerillas. This movie is based on a book Diarios de motocicleta written by'che' during his motorcycle trip in 1950s when he travelled throgh South America with his friend Alberto.
*Plot:
Ernasto(che) is a 23 year old medical student and Alberto is a biochemist. Both of them are planning a journey on motorcyle "the mighty one" which covers most part of South America. Ernesto is a simple, honest and loveable guy whereas Alberto is a fun-loving guy who uses his tongue as a weapon to counter any problem.
During their journey, they met with accidents, obstacles, various kind of people, various cultures and of course various aspects of life which played a huge role in shaping up Che's life.
*Pluses:
Beauty lies in the simplicity of story. It has been told in a very efficient manner. Story covers many emotions of human life. Che's jorney is very similar to that of Gautam Buddha which led Buddha to Mahanikribhraman.
Simple story is superbley complimented by well-written script. Not for a moment, you feel bored. I was not knowing much about Che before watching this movie. Dialogues are very funny particularly delivered by Alberto.
Both lead character share amazing chemistry. I rate alberto's performance slightly higher than of ernesto's. There are numerous supporting characters who also are able to last their impression on viewer's mind.
The movie has a very soothing Background score, eye-catching cinematography. As I always say, director is a caption of the ship, so full credit must go to director for giving us such a nice movie. I am not writing any names of cast & crew because, I am not able to remember them.
*Minuses:
The movie may be a biased towards one country. Since I am not much aware about political scenario then, I should not comment.
*Something about Che Guevara:
*After watching this movie, I surfed net to know more about him. Many of you may be quite familiar with him and I am sure most of you have seen him in photographs. Here is some info about him.
In 1956 at Maxico, Guevara joined Fidel castro, which seized power from the regime of the dictator General in cuba in 1959. In the months after the success of the revolution, Guevara was assigned the role of "supreme prosecutor", overseeing the public show trials and execution of hundreds of military and civilian leaders associated with the previous regime. After serving in various posts in the new government and writing a number of articles and books on the theory and practice of guerrilla warfare, Guevara left Cuba in 1965 with the intention of fomenting revolutions first in congo and then in Bolivia, where he was captured in a military operation supported by theCIA, US. Guevara was executed by the Bolivian army in 1967.
After his death, Guevara became an icon of socialist revolutionary movements and a cultural icon worldwide. A photo of him has received wide distribution and modification, appearing on t-shirts, protest banners, and in many other formats. That photo is called "the most famous photograph in the world and a symbol of the 20th century.

Are you talking to the motorcycle again?
-This isn't a tale of heroic feats. It's about two lives running parallel for a while, with common aspirations and similar dreams.
