Here's my slice of Mothers Pride’s Horrible experience! A MUST READ FOR ALL PLANNING TO OPT FOR MOTHERS PRIDE

I have a daughter who's 2 years old she joined the so called "Most Loved Preschool ." the Meera Bagh Branch(Delhi) on 1st April after much of a persuasion by their counselors -lot of examples were shared with me about the Loving & Caring staff they have in the Mothers pride to take care of children. My 2 years old daughter had her experience of life when her GOLD earrings were robbed by one of the staff members. On enquiring about the same from the mothers pride paschim vihar Branch Head Ms Anchal some interesting facts came out- please go through them carefully & decide for yourself before getting your kids admitted to this school(.& in case you need further information I would encourage you to directly check this with the branch incharge Ms Anchal or the HOD Ms Sushma.)

Upon taking this complaint with them I was assured by the branch incharge that “ACTION” will be taken & the said action which I was assured about was “a meeting” with all the maids called by the branch incharge in which she asked all of them who did it? – “No” was the answer from all! Imagine that if someone with such intention has done it, do you expect the person to come forward & accept it in front of everybody with full glory & guts… it’s a basic common sense!! But surprisingly Dear friends I was told that this was “The BEST” which the one who heads the branch could have done about it. **Imagine the aptitude level of the BRANCH INCHARGE.

During my discussion with the lady I very casually asked if anything of this sort has ever happened before & to my surprise I was told by the Branch incharge “SIR I WILL BE VERY OPEN WITH YOU ON THIS THAT YES SUCH INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED EARLIER ALSO & WE TRIED BUT WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND WHO DID IT THEN ALSO**”. I came back from school after final word from her that she will discuss with the HOD & let me know what they plan to do about it.

When I took leave from my office again to follow up on the same after 2 days & went to the school after writing an email to the HOD of the mothers pride paschim vihar(for which I’m still awaiting a reply.) in anticipation that some logical action will be taken I was told to yet again to get in touch the branch incharge only, who already did her best in this case & gave me HOD’s no: to discuss with her. Having no other choice left with me I met the lady again & got some more shockers!

I asked her to call the maids who accompanied my child to washroom & in the cab on that day so that my daughter could identify.

I was told that they have already done the same during school hours the previous day & my daughter did not recognized anyone & they will not try it again in front of me.

So I asked them to make me speak to the maids in their presence for this also I was told that it is also not possible.

I requested to fix up a meeting with the principal – I was told that principal is busy so she’ll ask someone from her team to meet me. I saw some light at the end of tunnel & thought that someone senior would meet me & would further help us. I called up to enquire if it was possible to meet her but was told that she’s on leave & possibly can meet the next day- on the next day I called & was told that currently I’m busy & will call after 2 hours– I’m waiting for those two hours to get complete so that I can address my concern to someone more responsible(I was told that she is second to Mrs Sudha Gupta(Principal) in hierarchy.

*The most horrendous part that I was told by the branch incharge was that they cannot directly take this up with maids as they have unity – the only message I could get from all this is that it is important for them to keep maids happy; children can still be admitted through various means- Now I know why mothers pride is the only school with such proactive sales staff who start running behind parents from the time a child is born – they actually do this!

*All that I had asked till now from the school authorities was to handle the case in way that a strong message is sent to entire staff that in case anything of this sort happens in the school(a place which is considered to be so sacred) consequences would be dire! I am not expecting the earrings back as I’m thankful of God that my daughter is safe & fine. Imagine in case she would have tried to show resistance when the earrings were being removed she would have easily got hurt!

On asking them what is the preventive action taken to avoid such incidents from happening again in future they told me that now they are more vigilant, are taking more rounds during school hours but still children will be handed over to MAIDS on their way back to home – Reason why teachers do not accompany children is that Mothers Pride has two sessions in a day & teachers continue to take up afternoon classes also – WHICH MEANS MORE REVENUE!

After all this my view is that More maids in school means more difficulty in handling them- Young staff(branch incharge might be about 24- 26 years of age) means lack of experience to handle sensitive cases.

In my email I told them that till the time this issue is resolved I will not send my child to the school & since there is no revert from their side I can very well imagine the importance for them if my child is missing out on classes. It is for sure that the Maids are far more important than children.
