Story:

Maxim Gorky had been a top class revolutionary Russian writer during the beginning of twentieth century when the famous proletarian revolution was in progress in Russia under the leadership of Vladimir Ilyitch Lenin. Of all books authored by Maxim Gorky, novel'The Mother' published in the year 1906 is known in every corner of the world and even today, it has millions of admirers.   In fact, he wrote this novel while travelling to United States of America in 1906.

The script was based on a real story of a Russian woman Anna Zalomova and her son Piotr Zalomov. The proletarian movement against Russian Tsarists was in full fledged when Piotr was arrested by Tsarist police in May 1902. Anna Zalomova was a distant relative of the author. This novel was mostly intended at encouraging the proletarian movement among the youth then. This book has been translated in many world languages and in many Indian languages too. It remains as an iconic novel in the whole world yet.  I recommend everyone to read it at least once in life and it has something for everyone for sure.
