Purchased this product 18 months ago and quite satisfied with it so far. When the chutney jar stopped working recently, I took the warranty information and went to the service center in Tippasandra, Bangalore to get it fixed.
Have used other Morphy Richards products earlier and had no trouble in getting them fixed in case there was any problem in the product within the warranty period.
This time its a new service center(authentic service) and I have rarely seen such rude behavior in a place which is supposed to be essentially providing service.
First comment was that the shaft in the jar needs to be replaced and its not covered under warranty, even though the warranty card, and prior experience, has clearly led me to believe that any issue in the product will be corrected free of cost in the warranty period if I have used it correctly and in domestic use only.
Its not about the spare part that costs Rs 50/-, its first the disappointment that I should have to visit a service center within 18 months of purchase of a new product. And secondly when I do get there I am told its normal wear and tear and not covered under warranty. Am not sure what does get covered under warranty then - unless its "dead on arrival"
Be careful about buying Morphy Richards products.
