A Movie That Will Scare the Fun Right Out of You. Review on Monsters Inc. Movie

If you've seen any of the Disney/Pixar movies, e.g. Toy Story 1 or 2, you know what to expect: A great family movie that is full of laughs.

In Monsters, Inc. the fears of many children are addressed, and those fears are of course monsters. As the story goes the monster world's energy source comes from the screams of young children. Monsters, Inc. is the company that provides these screams to the city of Monstropolis. They collect the screams by entering magical/high tech doors that lead to the rooms of children in the human world and scaring the children in their sleep. Although it is necessary for them to scare the children they would never dream of harming them, mainly because they believe that children are toxic and will kill any monster that it touches.

The company's top scarer is James P. Sullivan, aka. Sully (voiced by John Goodman), a large blue-green, purple, bear like monster. His assistant is the green, one-eyed Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal.) Sully's closest competitor is the chameleon like Randal (Steve Buschemi) and he is also our villain, who will do anything to become the top scarer. One night while staying late and cheating to catch up on his scares, Randal lets in a human child into their world, and Sully who was getting some papers, finds the child and he and Mike have to fix the problem before anyone finds out.

The rest of the movie deals with how such a young child can cause a lot of chaos in a monster's world; normal and human-like is definitely not the most popular way to portray monsters.

Pixar really outdid themselves when they created Sully. His is definitely the greatest looking design in this or in any other computer animated movie, and its partially because he is completely covered with feathery like hair which it seams that the wizards at Pixar have finally perfected. Each hair on his body seems to have a life of its own and flows compliantly with the air.

While it isn't the funniest collaboration between the 2 companies it definitely is the best looking and most innovative.
