Originality:

1994 was an amazing year for hindi music, 1942 Love Story, Imtihan, Main Khiladi Tu Anari etc but Mohra was considerably the biggest hit, due to ''Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast'', which is what it's remembered for... sadly

People seem to overlook the other gems of this album only because it wasn't picturized good on the screen, or didn't have a picturization, or they were too busy with the cheez craze.

Anyways, I will now review each of the songs properly and hopefully people will remember the amazing compositions, especially for the time era...

Tu Cheez Badi Mast Mast sung by Udit Narayan And Kavita Krishnamurthy.

Though the entire song is a complete rip-off of a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan song, it did do it justice. The echo and the beats, the singing and everything was at it's best, and probably the only reason this entire album was in the spotlight, and for what it'll be remembered for. Though I consider it to be the weakest song, due to overplaying and no originality, but it's still a good song with fun https://lyrics. 7.5/10

Main Cheez Badi Hoon Mast By Kavita Krishnamurthy

A deriative of Tu Cheez Badi, but I found this to be a tad bit better, because it was more creative, and less of a ripoff. It was more of a expiramention because of the instruments were very different but fit in very well with each other. Kavita's singing is very good, and doesn't sound like her shrilly self we're subjected to it sometimes, and does justice to her solo. the lyrics are so-so and fit more into the movie's ending, hence it's placement. Overall, very good 8/10

Now to the good stuff, the songs this album should be noticed for, creativity, amazing lyrics and singing and music at it's best:

Dil Har Koi Deta Hai by Kumar Sanu And Alka Yagnik

The most forgotten song on here, mainly due to the fact it wasn't in the movie. It's a shame. Similar to formula in the songs from Vishwatma, the song works in so many ways. The music is really good, and is lively. Alka sounds soo good in the song, and kumar sanu breezes through this song as well. The lyrics are good as well, and decribe the commit very well. 8.5/10

Ae Kash Kahin Aisa Hota Hai By Kumar Sanu

One of the classiest songs on this album. The usage of the piano, saxophone and the touch echo is so damn good, and takes this song to amazing heights. The lyrics are a bit wierd, like the whole ''two hearts in chest'' thing, but is still extremely good because it's different than your usual broken heart song. What the best part of the song is Kumar Sanu, he sounds so good in this song, not so nasally, relaxed and very similar his singing in Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aaye. Overall better than your usual sad sharaabi song, and with a touch of experimentation and class 8.5/10

Subah Se Lekar Shaam Tak By Udit Narayan And Sadhana Sargam

Right from the start, you can tell it's not your simple 1-2 beat jhankaar thing going on, but it's much more than that. There is a touch of echo again, and the feeling the song gives is so similar to the picturization in the movie, ''cool summer'' feeling, and well the music is just really good, above average and not trying to hard either. The best part of this song is the singing, it's very honest and crisp. Udit and Sadhana sound so lively and fresh, and this song describes nothing other than freshness. Lyrics are okay. 8.5/10

Tip Tip Barsa Paani By Udit and Alka

Sticking with the freshness that seems to be in these songs, this is probably one of the best rain songs ever. The creative use of the sitar and echo thing that seems to be in these songs are extremely effective. As well, I love the way Udit chimes in the song, and adding to the overall appeal this song had. The lyrics are a bit annoying with the tip tip, but thankfully don't sound so horrendous in the song, and are overall really good. One song you could listen to over and over and never get tired. 9/10

Na Kajre Ki DhaarBy Pankaj Udas And Sadhana Sargam

Amazing Lyrics, The composition is at it's best, it's just so different effective and so melodious. Pankaj is nasally, but it somewhat adds the freshness this song has, but it's really Sadhana's singing that is at it's best. The lyrics are very good, obviously, but like I said earlier, the music is just so good. The ''ooh'' add to the effect and the echo is at it's best in this song. This song has it's own minute sad parts, with a solo from each singer, but it's nothing really, due to it's time. Overall, the best song in this album, simply it's a 10/10

Overall this album is a 9/10 in my opinion. The only thing it lacks is originality in the Cheez songs, but it makes up for it in the other songs, which are some of the best duets and song i've heard. A must buy.
