After a few days research & some emails to a dealer I managed to get the following details of Lancer Diesel in India. And for me the figures look promising. Before going to the details let me tell you all that my aim is
Not interested in Power
Should get a resonable resale value after 4 or 5 years.
Pricing Details for new
Ex-showroom price - 7, 96, 000.00
Social service cess - 884.00
Insurance - 25, 241.00
Regn/Doc/Serv/Charges - 3, 000.00
Life time road tax - 47, 813.00
Extended warranty package 6, 500.00 (This makes it under warranty for 3 yrs)
On road value 8, 79, 438.00

Now I am not going to buy a brand new. I will always go for a car which is 1 yera old and has one less then 15, 000 KM. I am not sure whether I will be able to find one like that. SInce no having good resale value, I hope I can get a End 2008 model for around 5 or 5.5 lac. THe resale affects mostly the one who purchase brand new.

This also looks resonable. And in addition there is a 48p maintenance charge per km.
So guys, let me know your opinion. Is it too costly to maintain ?
