Before I start the review I have to admit I haven't seen the MI's before this one. So I went in with no expectations or anything to compare this one to.

This movie reminded me of a wannabe The Bourne Supremacy/Identity (which by the way I believe fall in a class of their own). It is an all out action movie and Tom Cruise does a good job. I am not a big Tom Crusie fan (eh hem Tomkat) but have to give him credit where it's due. He really slips into his character and looks the agent that he is.

The action sequences/special effects are great and make for some fun viewing. Cannot really find any flaws and the sequences weren't made out to be cheezy or way out there like is the case in some other action movies. Then again being MI3 I guess the expectations in terms of action sequences/gadgets/etc are higher then would be for any other action movie---but luckily they do live up to the high expectations.

The plot is the usual good guy and his team chasing the bad guy who is out to bring misery to the world. However, even with this age-old action movie textbook story somehow it clicks. It looks fresh and the movie works. I did not like the guy who played the bad guy (Philip Hoffman)...many did enjoy his portraying the evil guy but somehow he just did not cut it.

My personal favorite part of the movie (also freaked me out)---Tom Cruise's girlfriend in the movies looks like a twin sister of Katie Holmes'. Have no clue why Cruise did that but he did.

All in all check it out...not bad at all...it would be more fun to see on the big screen then on DVD.
