In our everyday lives, in the world we live in, we are put into situations where you have nothing to say or do but just accept it the way you get it.
You are put into situations where there is no way out - and end up saying ''I am going where life takes me''. Sometimes you get the feeling, or most of the time you get the feeling that the days that have passed were better than what you are in right now..Its human nature..
Its when you do not know what your future is going to be like, when you take things as they approach you.
So does the first ghazal in this album say.. ''Apni marzi se kahan apne safar ke hum hai..Rukh hawaon ka jahan hai, udhar ke hum hai...'' Hawa maane Air..can be interpreted as life.
The next song teaches you a lesson, thinking back in time of what your elders have followed in their lives. Todays world is selfish - friends are not friends forget about enemies. This song asks you to do something that barely anyone follows today .. ''Dushman ko bhi seene se lagana nahi bhooliye..hum apne buzurgon (ancestors) ka zamana nahi
bhoolen..'' Reminds me of the quote which goes.. ''Keep your friends close..but keep your enemies closer''.
I believe in it. I make no enemies, I might have people who I do not comply with but that does not make then enemies.
The ghazal follows the tune of the famous ghazal from the album 'Cry for Cry'.. ''Mere allah khudaai se bachana mujhko, naik raah ho jo us reh pe chalana mujhko''.
A Song that put tears in your eyes. It talks about a dream year, a dream world when things seem to be perfect. The way it puts it in words is amazing.''Ek Brahaman ne kaha hai ke ye saal accha hai. Zulm ki raat bahot jaldi dhalegi ab to, aag choolon mein jalegi ab to. Bhook ke baar ab koi baccha nahi royega, chain ki neend ab har shakhs (human) yahan soyega.........Hai yakeen ab ne koi shor sharaaba hoga, zulm hoga nahi ne koi khoon kharaba hoga''.
It takes you in a totally different world. It makes you dream with your eyes open. Makes you think what life in such a world would be like.
My other fav. song from this album is Mein ne hindu ne Musalmaan. One of the biggest conflicts thats eating diverse countries like India is 'Racism'. This song sends a message out to the people. The person puts it beautifully - ''Mein ne hindu ne musalmaan, mujhe jeene do..Dosti hai mera imaan, mujhe jeene do.....koi ehsaan ne karo mujh pe to ehsaan hoga, sirf itna, karo ehsaan, mujhe jeene do...!'' The music is a little different as it goes faster than other songs. Its good to hear it admist all the depressing ghazals.
The very first line gets me interested in this next ghazal. Rishta kya hai tera mera, mein hoon shabh, aur tu hai savera. Tu hai chand sitaron jaisa, meri quismat ghor andhera.. When two ppl cant be together for any damn reason, wether they do not comply in some way or they other.. Leads to a frustrated person like this who's left with words to beautifully describe what he and his life is like as compared to his love..As far as I remember, it had a touching line.. ''Phoolon jaise raahen teri, phoolon jaisi raahen teri, kaaton jaisa, mera dera, kaaton jaisa, mera dera''.
Are you frustrated with life? Do you feel life is a living hell? Well this person thinks the same way. Zindagi se badi saza bhi nahi, aur kya jurm hai pata bhi nahi''.
As you can see, all of us at times ask questions..what did we do to get this..! Well take life as a test.
And when u feel that way, just think.. u live and die only once.
Thats majority of the songs in the album. Basically an album with great https://lyrics. Most ghazals are slow except for one (mein ne hindu ne musalmaan). Play it when you hit the bed after your tiring work day. It will refresh your memories like no other thing can.
