This review is delayed by a couple of years. We were in Chennai in 2010 for an year and my father (who suffers from Parkinson's) fell down while walking. Since his bones were weak, he was suggested to implant a rod in his leg and thus we admitted him to this hospital. Thats where our nightmare started.
The doctors are callous and they just DO NOT tell you ANYTHING. I asked who the chief surgeon is and that was also not told to me. Its routine to have the patient in the ICU for a day or two post surgery but my father was kept in the ICU for more than 15 days.
We were not even informed on the reasons. Under the name of patient care they do not even allow visitors. Because of his age, and unable to see his family my father got disoriented a bit. He was later shifted to private room and we were allowed to stay but he developed complications and again shifted to the ICU. And we were chasing the doctors but no one had time to speak to us or give an update. So we decided to shift him to a better hospital. We demanded the reports and took him out.
Now the head doctor had time enough to meet us and he warned us that we cannot shift the patient and if we do so they are not liable for anything including the surgery and the stroke that he had during the surgery. Imagine the horror to know that your father had a stroke and we were kept in dark about it.
After we shifted to the next hospital, we were told that the surgery was not done correctly and also it was unnecessary. The reports showed a heart attack during surgery. And much more. I can never forgive myself for taking him to this trash bin of a hospital that just wants to make money. All the doctors there are plain JUNK and they are more of road side rowdies than doctors.
So if you love your dear ones then please stay away, FAR FAR AWAY from this hospital. MIOT SUCKS!
