Recently I've taken my mom who was suffering from lower back pain. Irrespective of the pain level, they ask to go for MRI scan and the report will be prepared to make sure that surgery is highly recommended. They don't even listen to the history. All that they know is surgery, surgery, surgery. That's the permanent solution for them and there is no other possibility. At first sight itself, they will tell you "Surgery is the only way. It will cost you so much, arrange for money, convince the patient, we will start the surgery. Until then Crocin is the pain killer and an ointment(God only knows whether that also is a product from Miot itself)".
Finally she got relieved of most of her pain by Physiotherapy with some medicine in a short time prescribed by another Orthopedic from Alwarpet. Even the staff(the steno who writes whatever the dean says with no change) don't respond to you query. after paying the amount, you will given a seat without knowing when is your turn, how long will it take to meet the Dr. Whatever you ask, all that they will say is "sit sir". Nothing more. They treat the patient like animals only. I don't know how much interest they express for the money by doing surgery.
Please go for a second opinion to one other good Dr. before taking any big step in MIOT.
