Hats off to Mr.Arjun Singh our union HRD minister...Because of whom now deserving students will look at avenues outside the country for further education...Those who cant afford it will look for other means to earn a livelihood....maybe enter the crime scene..no reservations there atleast as of now....well you never know....probably our politicians will soon start reservations in the underworld as well....
When Mr.B.R.Ambedkar made the reservation quota,he made provisions that the reservation policy is to be in place only for 20 years.Our politicians at that time said that the SC/ST/OBC communities have not progressed the way they should have and thats why the need of the hour is to extend the quota timeframe...this has been going on for almost 40 years now and SC/ST/OBC people have still not progressd...
Before independence it was a boon to be an open/general category person and bane to be SC/ST/OBC or lower caste person...now its boon to be born in quota category and bane to be an open caste guy..what the heck is open caste anyways..
A student who works his a** off through 11th and 12th standard with high hopes of cracking Medical and engg exams,burns the midnight oil ends up finding out that the seat he worked so hard for goes to somebody else only because he gets benefit of reservations...worse still the poor kid is forced to pursue his academics in a field which does not hold any interest to him..
The only solution to bring these people to the so called ''levels'' of open category people is to offer financial aid to those who need it..If they keep the basics right like strictly implementing primary education policies and making it affordable to middle class people then probably these so called low classes can come up in life..
Dont get me wrong,I am not against anyone or any caste in particular...I belong to ''OBC'' class myself....but what mister Singh is doing brings out the anger,because I have seen deserving people forgoing their dreams just for some stupid politicians ambition,who has never done a good deed for his country and is taking away a deserving persons chance to do something good for his country...
Beware Mr.Singh you might be forced soon to read between the lines
