India is a nation of complete paradoxies. We call ourselves a secular nation and yet don't have a uniform civil code.Within the Hindu religion there are a lot of casts which we would have never been aware of otherwise but meticulous politics for the sake of votes has made evryone sit up and take notice. This has just encouraged casteism in modern India.I have so many things to say about all these wretched politicians but I will limit myself to the ''Reservation in educational institutions'' issue.

The IITs ,IIMs,Medical Institutes like AIIMS,the famed Universities like DU,JNU and others are the pillars of strength on which India's meritocracy thrives and around which the so called ''Brand India'' has been configured. To introduce reservations(Already some form of reservations exist for SCs & STs) in these sacred institutions will not only violate their sanctities and bring the standard down but might very well hurt India's reputation in the long run.

Rather than viewing the society from the caste point of view we should view it from the financial standings view point and there is no doubt that to make India a truly great nation ,this divide has to be bridged. The good work should start from the beggining i.e primary education till higher education where the meritorius students coming from a relatively poorer background should be provided with ample encouragements in the form of scholarships.

Medical students all over have started vociferous protests opposing the reservation issue but I am completely sure that all their hard work and valour is gonna yield nothing as once it is floored in the parliament no damn party worth it's salt is gonna oppose it.

Hence guys the future looks bleak.
