We, the citizens of India, demand that every politician propagating and supporting the populist policy of Reservation, should take and uphold an oath that in the event they are taken ill or are hospitalized, they should rightfully be treated ONLY by those who have become doctors not on merit but having qualified merely because they belong to the Reserved category. These politicians must vow NOT to seek treatment not only from the renowned doctors in our country and abroad, but not even from the doctors who qualified on merit (regardless of their caste) Let it also be made mandatory that all businesses and hotels owned by these far-sighted politicians, hire people only from the Reserved category.
We request all people in the medical profession who have qualified on merit (regardless of their caste) to take a vow that they WILL NOT ATTEND OR TREAT any politician who has supported the Reservation policy. Obviously these enlightened human beings have more faith in the power of healing given by persons who may never have the intelligence or capability to even last the first year of medical school.
Hey people, we all know where this is heading don't we? These politicians have created this 50% reservation quota not only to win the hearts (votes) of their intellectually-challenged vote-bank but they have perhaps foreseen the potential of having the power to sell these seats to the highest bidders later on. Merit be damned!! Who cares what kind of healthcare workers or engineers our country churns out!!! These politicians certainly don't care because they run abroad for their own treatment. Their own children and grandchildren get their higher education in the US or UK, and some even end up settling abroad.
We also suggest to the government in power, that since they have decided to experiment with the future generations of our country, they should leave no stone unturned to deal the death-blow. They should hire ONLY people from the Reserved category to run the State Bank of India and the Reserve Bank of India. Let all ambassadors of India posted to the developed nations of the world, also belong to the Reserved category. Why stop at that, let us also have civil and structural engineers only from the Reserved category? Let these people build our roads, bridges and dams. While we are at it, let us have people from the Reserved category running all our scientific establishments, hospitals, airports and hotels.
All you politicians out there, are not fooling any one. If you really want to do something for your country - then concentrate on all the municipal schools and hospitals in our country. Allocate more funds to the modernisation and improvement of these schools and hospitals, build more schools, hire good teachers and pay them well, maintain strict and outside supervision of the quality of teaching and students' progress. Supply books and other student requirements free of charge. make education compulsory as it is in most Western countries, give these students good education and healthcare, and then let them compete with students in the General category. YOU WILL NOT NEED RESERVATION!
Tax concessions can be offered to individuals and companies sponsoring education of the under-privileged. All those roads, flyovers and construction projects undertaken in our country should be strictly time-bound. The defaulting contractors should be charged penalties - our government will make crores of rupees, which can also be directed to the field of education. Yes, if there are meritorious students among the under-privileged, by all means - let the state pay for their education. We ask all politicians to stop pretending, and to do something constructive and with integrity. Please serve your country honestly and don't bite the hand that feeds you.
In this dark hour, I call on all those who wish India well, to pray. Pray that we may be delivered from these self-serving politicians, who need to acknowledge and act upon the truth - that one must strengthen the foundation in order to have a strong structure. ONLY GOD CAN HELP INDIA NOW - WE NEED ALL YOUR PRAYERS.
