Rule of Two Children
Recenly central minister of health Ambumani Ramadas told that we should not apply two-children concept forcefully on our poeple as this will injure the fundamental right of us. He also pointed out that poele should be convinced about the family planning and it is not the duty of government to control the population, but will work for balance of population.
I wonder how one central minister forgets or ignores the verdict of country’s apex court /Supreme Court bluntly. He shoul be dragged to the court for contempt of supreme court. Let us see what Supreme Court tells in the order. As per supreme court:
1.Rule of Two-Children does not violate fundamental right. To contest for election is not fundamental right.
- There is no instruction in any religious authority that to produce more than two children is a sacred duty.
3.Poulation explotion is now a national as well as international problem.
In this context, central defence minister Pranab Mukherjee rightly said that apex court has given their verdict on this issue and thus there can not arise any unwanted conyroversy and it would be meaningless if anybody unnecessary meddles with this.
From the above it is understood how half-educated or bad-educated people are twisting the meaning of court’s verdict as per their will and self-interest ignoring the country’s intrest.
Prime minister should immediately call for the explanation for such derogatory statement.If necessary, he shoul be warned not to repeat the same in future.This should also be well circulated through media as health minister’s wrong decision has already been published in the news papers of the country. Otherwise wrong message will pass to the people of the country regarding the Prime minister and his government.
It is very true if properly population explosion is not controlled simulteneously with the progess of our government’s programme, effectiveness of the progress will not reach to the bottom line of our people.
Similar thing not to respect high court’s order by the ministers happened in West Bengal. Is it not like Talibanism or Fundamentalist attitude of one section within the government?
Of course in West Bengal Talibanism or Fundamentalist’s gevernment is ruling the state.Otherwise, in no civilised democratic counry or state , on single major political party can not rule for more than 28-years in spite of negetive progress in all fronts of the states.
