Milesource.com is an on-line shopping site that ''pays'' users reward miles for everything they do on the site. Once you have accumulated enough reward miles (AMs, you can cash them in for a wide range of gift certificates, products and trips. Generally, you will get 2 AMs for every dollar you spend on their site. Most of the merchants offer good to great discounts on products ranging from apparel to travel to home appliances. The general categories are Travel Leisure, Homelife, Office, Money, and Seniors. But you don't need to shop to earn miles!
Milesource also gives miles for clicking on advertising sites, completing quick surveys and playing games. Games include a free lottery (Super7) that rewards from 2 to 25000 AMs for matching 2 - 6 numbers and a free Dell laptop for matching all seven. Daily trivia rewards 1000, 500 or 250 AMs for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Milehunter also awards up to 25000 AMs, this is a kind of treasure hunt. You get 5 chances and can win more chances by correctly answering trivia questions.
What do you get? With 3250/3500 AMs you get $25 gift certificates for books, restaurants, and stores. American users get a gift certificate that they can redeem in over 500 locations, Canadian residents get gift certificates for specific stores like Chapters, Red Lobster, Suzy Sheer. The offers get better, of course, with larger numbers of AMs. Over 50,000 will get you free airline tickets, free trips, stereos, DVD players and more.
Of course, if you don't shop on-line, it will take a very long time to accumulate sufficient AMs to cash in, unless of course you are lucky and win one of the draws or find 25,000 at MileHunter. Still, it takes very little time to enter the contests and complete the surveys, so it is, I think, a worthwhile site.
